2023 has been a rich year for music. I haven't managed to listen to all the projects I wanted to listen to but these are the ones that stood out to me. This is not a top, and I didn't choose them by following any kind of framework. I hope you find it interesting and discover something new and exciting. Here we go.

Favorite song: XYZ/Labyrinth
Comment: This is the sound of grief, it's painful, visceral, yet beautiful. Evita Manji sings about the loss of their partner Sophie, in a way she would have loved if she were still with us. Her passing is, in my opinion, one the most tragic thing to have happened to music in recent years. In the context of the environmental crisis in Greece (Evita is Greek), she is being hit by both the loss of Sophie and the complete destruction of life around them. Struggling to find a light, they take us with them on their downfall.
Genre : Dream Pop, Post Rock
